Classic Basil Pesto Sauce Pasta in 15 minutes

The easiest fresh pesto sauce you will ever make!

Equipment

  • 1 Food Processor
  • 1 Cast Iron Sauteuse
  • 1 Chopping Board
  • 1 Sharp knife
  • 1 wooden spatula

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh Italian basil
  • 1/3 medium sized onion chopped
  • 2 tsp garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan
  • 1/2 cup pine nuts roasted
  • 3-4 tbsps extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 cup pasta water
  • 2 cups boiled pasta of your choice!

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients to a food processor and blend until smooth
  • Add the mixture to a pre-heated Meyer cast-iron sauteuse and sauté until fragrant
  • Add the salt and pepper, and pasta water. Mix together
  • Add your pasta, and mix through until the pasta is fully covered in sauce.
  • Serve with grated parmesan, Tabasco and lemon juice!
